New York State Association of Home Inspectors

The Voice Of The Home Inspection Profession In The Empire State

About Us

The New York State Association of Home Inspectors (NYSAHI) was formed in 1999 by inspectors from across New York State.  We are an all volunteer not-for-profit organization created for the express purpose of representing the interests of the home inspection profession, and the public it serves, in regard to licensing and regulation.

The organization presently represents the over 300 inspectors New York and is open to all professional home inspectors in the state.

Our organization is governed by our board of  directors.  The board is composed of two representatives from each of our "participating organizations" plus one "director at large" that represents our members that are not affiliated with one of the participating organizations.  The participating organizations currently are the seven New York chapters of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the Metropolitan Association of Home Inspectors which is a chapter of the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI).
